Menu sells mobility equipment online and offers an annual scholarship called the SpinLife Innovation in Motion Scholarship program. First prize winners for this contest receive $500 to help students with their college journey. The scholarship is open to students who are manual or power wheel chair users who are enrolled at a four-year collegiate institution. The scholarship also requires the student to write an essay. There are a few other eligibility requirements that students must pass in order to apply.

Students must answer the essay question, “What is the biggest misconception people have about you? How can you educate others about their misconception?” There doesn’t seem to be any word requirements for this essay, but in general you should keep this to about 1,200 words at maximum in a formal essay style. Eligible applicants will be a manual or power wheelchair user who is over the age of 18 and is enrolled at an accredited four-year educational institution at the undergraduate level. The student needs to also be a legal resident of the U.S. or possess a valid student visa. Students must also have maintained a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 to be eligible.
